Valentine's Day Erotica At Sotheby's

It's always so exciting to be given a brief that's a little bit different, especially around Valentine's...

This year we were asked by the renowned auctioneers Sotheby's  to create something quite spectacular for their Valentine's occasion.

Hosting an Erotic Cocktail Event in advance of their upcoming Erotic Art Sale, the colour scheme was a darker twist on traditional Valentine's palettes with moodier blacks, plums and darks reds. Our arrangements even came with their very own black lace masks....

For the bar arrangements we focused on blacks and deep rich plums for a dramatic framing of the area. We used a mix of deep, dark and gothic looking flowers, including black Bacarra roses, deep purple and red orchids, blood red Naomi roses, large black Calla Lilies, black Prince tulips, black ranunculus
and red amaranthus, all created in modern black glass urn vases.

Around the event, six poseur table arrangements were placed featuring wild, posies of black tulips and black ranunculus with touches of black Calla Lilly and black roses to complement the large bar arrangements, each placed in mini black glass urns.

In the run up to Valentine's and the event we also decorated the main stairwell for the Erotic exhibition in a similar style to get people in the mood...
