Kind is Simple

Every now and again in this industry you get greeted with a really exciting and challenging brief-- something unusual and different to the day to day bouquets and it never fails to get my heart racing. My latest treat was a wonderful job with Simple Skincare at their ‘Kind Acts’ promotional pop up store in the heart of Covent Garden Piazza for their new Micellar Cleansing Water. We were asked to create two large living walls along one side of the interior and one side of the exterior of the clear marquee. These were made out of over one thousand green plants, including beautiful mixed ferns, succulents, ivies and herbs. The final result was two very fresh, very green feature walls that made a lovely backdrop to the skincare event. After the event, all of the plants were donated to Thrive, the wonderful horticultural charity who help the vulnerable, disabled and poorly through gardening therapy.

Inside the marquee, we created a beautiful large feature tree for Simple to hang their ‘Kind Acts’ Postcards off as well as some of their sample products. The concept behind their store was kindness - and instead of paying for a product with money, you did so with kindness through completing an act detailed on one of their cards. There was so much love and so much positivity in the air- all so lovely to see and follow as customers uploaded their lovely photos onto social media with the hashtag #kindissimple. Check it out on Instagram!

Finally, for the tables and even the ceiling (!) we created clear glass terrariums filled with white sand, white pebbles and mini succulents and aloes. The ceiling globes hung in the air like little air bubbles filled with green freshness and were so beautiful as they caught the light of the sunshine.

You can see some of the photos for the event below. It was a real pleasure to have worked on this project with a wonderful team of people and we are very excited about what other fun events may be around the corner!
