It's time to make a quick nod to Russia and the Winter Olympics that are underway at the moment. As well as loving watching the more unusual sports on the telly (and admiring the wacky, colourful tracksuits and snowsuits) I have, of course, had my eye on the winners' victory bouquets. For the first time in the history of the Olympics, Sochi has separate flower ceremonies to medal ones, putting even more attention on the flowers! The victory bouquet has been designed specifically for the games and was made to reflect the hospitable character of the Olympics. Although they may not be made up of my favourite flowers, they do the job and the winners look pleased to be holding them-- not least because it means they won a medal!! Take a look for yourselves...it's not often baby chrysanthemums are centre stage!
