A few days ago I posted about my love for anemones....well, I really just can’t get enough because here comes another post about them! On my kitchen wall, I have a framed print of Matisse’s famous ‘Purple Robe and Anenomes’ painting that he made in 1937 and I just can’t stop looking at it...especially at this time of year when the early Spring sunshine is lighting it up so beautifully! Matisse produced a whole cohort of other anenome based paintings throughout his lifetime...he was obviously as obsessed with them as I am!
I just love the vibrancy and pure colour in this piece! It takes me to a happy place. :)
