It was the night before another lockdown, our plans for a fashion event had all been cancelled at the last minute for a special Christmas event. We were homeless without a venue as all hospitality had to close immediately and yet we had armfulls of flowers and a christmas tree complete with all the decorations and were determined to make something of it all! The wonderful Antoinette from The Lanesborough welcomed us in to her hotel at no notice, to take part of their 'Rule of 6' suite of set ups to celebrate the beauty of small, micro covid weddings and events. We were thrilled to be able to take part in this with Alice Wilkes Design and the wonderful friend Katie Julia on photography, and together we all created something against all the odds, at the final hour before lockdown and it was a joy to be able to pull together something so beautiful and uplifting just before Christmas. We must always believe in the magic of Christmas - for It shows itself in so many different ways! The lush pinks and reds, with pops of gold were the key elements for this set up to create an overflowing tablescape of rich, festive colour, contrasting deep reds and pinks in a natural, feminine and luxe manner. The pale blue candles matched the pale blue walls of The Lanesborough's Wilkins' Room Wedgwood blue walls.
